NEW ROCHELLE, NY —Francesco Miele, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, died on July 17, 2015. He was 90.
He was born on January 6, 1925 in Andretta, Italy to the late Francesco and Vincenza (Pennetta) Miele.
He was a landscape Gardner who owned his own business for over 20 years. He was also a custodian at the New School in Manhattan.
He is survived by his wife the former Teresina Cianciulli whom he married on October 11, 1951; his children Vincenza “Lina” (Pasquale) Pennella, Augustino (Mary) Miele, Pasquale (Rosie) Miele, Gerardo Miele; his 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and his brother Augustino.
Visiting will be Saturday 7-9pm and Sunday 2-4 & 7-9pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A Mass at St. Joseph’s Church will be held on Monday 10:00am. Entombment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Port Chester NY.
