NEW YORK, NY –Concordia College has announced Jim Bunn as Vice President for Institutional Advancement. Bunn will provide strategic direction for the College’s Alumni and Church Relations areas, fundraising initiatives, and community programs.
Bunn brings his leadership, energy, enthusiasm, and an impressive record of success in business, community service, and a long list of church activities wherever he and his wife, Jackie, have lived. The Bunn Family has resided in Bronxville for the past 23 years until last month, having relocated to Tuckahoe.
Jim’s accomplishments include Executive and Chief Marketing Officer positions with global brands, recognition from the Special Olympics for an event he helped to create and execute, and spearheading a building fund drive to expand a Sanctuary, procure a new organ, and double the size of the Parrish School of the church where he and his family were active members.
“God’s blessing and benevolence of friends have kept Concordia focused on its mission to provide a quality education and a ladder of social mobility to many who need access to affordable higher education.,” said Dr. Viji George, President of Concordia.
The U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges issue has ranked Concordia the 5th most diverse campus in the North Region and this diversity brings a rich array of influences to campus. In keeping with its mission to serve a diverse student body, Concordia invests heavily to help make the “Concordia Experience” available to students who can least afford it.
“We need to become more adept in telling the Concordia Story to our broader audience and I believe that Jim Bunn in an exceptional choice to do just that,” offered Dr. George. For more than a century, Concordia has been offering a solid faith based educational experience that has transformed lives for service to others. His role as Vice President of Institutional Advancement will be one of reaching out, informing, sharing, and more throughout the community and the beyond.
