NEW ROCHELLE, NY –Registration is now open for the New Rochelle Police Department’s annual Citizen Police Academy. Classes run on Wednesday nights from 6:30-9:00 p.m. from September 16- November 18.
The Citizen Police Academy is designed to strengthen the partnership between the New Rochelle Police Department and the community it serves. Participants will be introduced to the law enforcement and the criminal justice system through instructors representing every facet of the New Rochelle Police Department, from the commissioner and division commanders to the beat officers on the streets.
“The Citizen Police Academy gives members of the community a firsthand look inside the Police Department, with the goal of building stronger relationships and understanding,” said Police Commissioner Patrick Carroll.
