NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The Monroe College men’s soccer team earned the top national ranking in the latest NJCAA Coaches Poll, which was released on Wednesday. The team moved up two slots form the #3 ranking in the prior poll.
The Mustangs are unbeaten this season, with victories over Louisburg College and Rowan College at Burlington County. They also have a draw with the #2 nationally ranked, Eastern Florida team. Monroe took 20 points in the poll, while Eastern Florida got 19.
Leading the way for the Mustangs so far has been newcomer, Jordan Kinoshi. The England international has a pair of goals and one assist in three contests this season. His countryman, Jamie Hinchcliffe, scored the golden goal in the 1-0 win over Rowan.
The team returns to action on Saturday, September 12, when they face Montgomery College in Maryland. The kickoff is slated for 5:00 PM.
