WHAT: Iona Preparatory School K-12 will dedicate its football field to longtime benefactor Wellington T. Mara, who as co-owner of the New York Giants was one of the most influential figures in the history of the National Football League. Mara, who had four sons and nine grandchildren attend Iona, was a devoted Gael supporter during his lifetime. The field dedication will be followed by Iona’s Homecoming game versus Cardinal Hayes High School. The festivities coincide with Reunion 2015, which includes family and alumni activities, school tours, a homecoming Mass and reunion dinner.
