NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The College of New Rochelle Womens Cross Country team headed to Massachusetts over the weekend to run at the Williams College Purple Valley Classic. The team and top individual results are below:
The top teams in the Women’s Varsity 6k race at the Purple Valley Classic were Williams in 1st place with 39 points, Middlebury in 2nd place with 66 points, MIT in 3rd place with 69 points, Geneseo in 4th place with 75 points, and Amherst in 5th place with 117 points.
Top individual finishers in the race were as follows: Williams’ Lacey Serletti was the overall winner with a time of 21:53.6. Abigail Nadler of Middlebury was runner-up in 22:00;6, Maryann Gong of MIT was 3rd in 22:06.6, Victoria Kingham of WIlliams was 4th with 22:13.7, and Lizzie Lacy of Amherst was 5th with a time of 22:17.
The Blue Angels senior Tayler Fisher (Wilmington, DE) was the top Blue Angel, finishing in 58th place. The team placed 9th out of 12 teams.
CNR is back on the course on October 4th at Van Cortland Park for the York Invitational.
