PELHAM, NY –This fall, Warren Miller Entertainment releases its 66th snow sports film, Chasing Shadows. On Friday, November 6th at 7:30 p.m. The Picture House Regional Film Center (TPH) will screen the film for ski and snow enthusiasts throughout lower Westchester and the Bronx. Attendees will receive a free lift ticket to Vermont’s Sugarbush Resort – one of the largest ski resorts in New England – with each ticket purchased.

In Chasing Shadows, viewers explore what it means to be inspired, and what it is about exotic locations and snow-covered summits that keep us searching for more. Athletes JT Holmes, Seth Wescott, Caroline Gleich, Steven Nyman, and more pursue turns on the mountains of our dreams: Chamonix, Alaska’s Chugach, Utah’s Wasatch, and the mightiest range of them all: the Himalaya. These athletes are masters in their element, and with every cliff drop, perfect line and knee-deep powder turn, they motivate us. Take a glimpse into the world of the U.S. freestyle team and the dynamics of snow sports that live on the fringe, like monoskiing, powsurfing, and speed riding.

For skiers and movie goers alike, the name Warren Miller is synonymous with superstar. From such world-renowned resorts as Vail, Colorado; Verbier, Switzerland and Blackcomb/Whistler, Canada to the lesser known peaks of Dumbai, Russia, Manali, India or Beidahu, China, Warren Miller is famous for bringing the sport of skiing to the big screen. Recognized worldwide as the most radical sports filmmaker of our time, Miller was once described by an L.A. Times columnist as a “combination of Jean-Claude Killy, Robert Redford, Ingmar Bergman and Woody Allen.” Besides being a member of the Ski Hall of Fame, Miller has also been honored with a number of awards for his achievements, including 10 CINE Golden Eagles, eight IFPA awards, the distinguished International Documentary Achievement award, and the US Ski Writers Association’s Golden Quill award.

Tickets to the special screening of Chasing Shadows are $12/general admission, $6/members, $10/students and seniors and are available at www.thepicturehouse.org or at the box office, 175 Wolfs Lane, Pelham, NY 10803.
