NEW ROCHELLE NY – For years, Santa has wanted to open a Christmas Shop on one of the oldest and most historic Main Streets in all of the United States, and on Thursday, November 19, 2015, Santa’s wish becomes reality.

The Habitat for Humanity of Westchester has created the very first Pop-Up Christmas Shop on Main Street, within their 659 Main Street location.

“I was honored when Mr. Claus himself, asked me to open up this shop. We at Habitat just want the community to come together, and we feel this Christmas Shop will do just that,” said Jim Killoran, Head Elf and CEO of Habitat of Westchester.

The grand opening of the Christmas Shop will coincide with the beginning of the first annual Shop Main Street week, which will run through November 26, 2015. At 5p.m. this upcoming Thursday, all are invited to attend the Candy Cane Ribbon Cutting ceremony for the shop.

“The true heart and soul of Main Street lies within the small businesses, the people and it’s rich history,” Head Elf Killoran stated.

The ceremony will include performances by the Iona Singers, and pictures with Santa.
