Thruway Authority Announces Overnight Lane And Ramp Closures On I-95 Northbound Between Exit 15 And The New Rochelle Toll Barrier

ALBANY, NY — The Thruway Authority today announced that the northbound lanes on I-95 (New England Thruway) will be shifted into a new configuration between exit 15 (New Rochelle) and the New Rochelle toll barrier for rehabilitation of the Cedar Street and Cross County bridges. This work is scheduled for tonight, Thursday, Dec. 10 beginning at 11:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning. This work is a part of the I-95 New England Thruway Concrete Pavement Restoration Project. In addition to the lane reconfiguration, the northbound exit 16 (North Ave/Cedar Street) on-ramp will be closed, and a detour will be in place.

Motorists can expect lane closures and periodic traffic stoppages tonight, Thursday, Dec. 10 beginning at 11:00 p.m. until Friday, Dec. 11 at 6:00 a.m. Traffic stoppages are expected to last no more than 20 minutes each.

In case of inclement weather, the work may be postponed. 

Variable message signs and Highway Advisory Radio (530 AM) will update motorists about expected delays.
