Eleven New Rochelle Police Officers Graduated From the Westchester County Police Academy

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The New Rochelle Police Department welcomed eleven police officers on Friday December 18th, at the Westchester County Police Academy Graduation. Sixty men and women were handed their diplomas during a ceremony at Purchase College, after 20 weeks of training at the police academy in Valhalla.

“I’m very excited to have a group of fine young people join us in serving the residents of our City. They will be the foundation of our new community policing model which will bring a true partnership between the police and community”, says New Rochelle Police Commissioner, Patrick J. Carroll.

Two of New Rochelle’s newest members were recognized with awards. Police Officer Joseph Nieves received the “Esprit de Corp Award” and Police Officer Jeffrey Marello received the “Highest Academic Average Award”.

NEW New Rochelle Police Officers: Marisa Bird, Christopher Carelli, John Conklin, Ted Cordaro, Samuel Goldman, Francis Gray, Harry Kyreakedes, Jeffrey Marello, Alec McKenna, Gary Moss and Joseph Nieves.
