Finally, the holidays are over, and you’ve set your credit cards on the sill by the open kitchen window to cool down.
You need to kick back. Relax. But you don’t want to wait for the spring thaw to do something fun. You need a night out that’s entertaining, free, even cozy. And free. Did we mention free?
Come to the first For the Love of Words Open Mic Night of the year. Haven’t written anything since our last event? Write about new beginnings, the things you let go of in 2015, and resolutions you’ve already broken. (Too cynical? Sorry.)
If you’re not a writer, or really haven’t written anything new, no problem. Come to sip coffee, eat a croissant or alfajor and listen to great fiction, poetry and memoir in a friendly, supportive atmosphere.
We are still at R Patisserie, and if you think the little French-themed coffee shop is charming and alluring other times of the year, wait till you see it as a refuge from the cold.
So step in, shake off the chill, and enjoy.
