                        Supervisor Warren Lucas (R-North Salem)

WHAT:           An initiative by County Executive Astorino to expand the number of drop boxes for the safe disposal of unused prescription drugs was recently assisted by $8,000 in new state funds secured by Sen. Murphy.  The money will help get 12 new boxes into the communities that hadn’t previously had one. The proper disposal of unused prescription meds is critical so as they do not get into our water systems or into the hands of people who can misuse them.
