NEW ROCHELLE, NY —  The Monroe College women’s track and field team faced the professionals this past weekend as they competed in the annual Millrose Games at the Armory in New York.  The Mustangs placed second, out of 12 teams.

The two standout performances came in the relays as the 4X200 set a new school and meet record en route to the championship.  The team of Denesha Ransome, Tristan Evelyn, Breaisha Morton and Zakiya Denoon clocked a winning-time of 1:38.18.

The distance medley team nearly made it a clean sweep as they came in second with a time of 11:55.50.  That side was composed of Susan Ejore, Jrenda Rivera, Tashay Roberts and Nokuthula Dlamini.

The team returns to action on Saturday, February 27, when they compete at the Last Chance Invite on Staten Island.  Following that, the team competes at nationals.
