SOMERS, NY – On March 12, 2016, New York State Police from the Somers barracks arrested Davian K. Dennis, 31 years old, of New Rochelle, New York, for Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 2nd Degree, a Class C Felony, and Driving While Intoxicated, a Misdemeanor.
Troopers stopped Dennis on Route 100 for speeding. Following an investigation conducted by the arresting officer, Dennis was charged with driving while intoxicated. He was also charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon when Troopers located a loaded Taurus .357 Magnum revolver in the vehicle. Dennis unlawfully possessed the firearm without a permit.
Dennis was arraigned by the Honorable Michael J. McDermott at the Town of Somers Justice Court and remanded to the Westchester County Jail without bail. The defendant was scheduled to reappear in the Town of Somers Court on March 14, 2016.
