NEW ROCHELLE, NY — MARTHA R. BROADIE-LEAK, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, departed this life March 8, 2016. Born to Charles and Ellen (Harris) Byrd in Winnsboro, NC where she began her formal education and completed it in Baltimore, MD. Co Founder of Gospel Temple Church of America, she was united in marriage to Bishop Benjamin H. Broadie who predeceased her. Then united in marriage to Elder Fetson Leak, founder and pastor of Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C. of New Rochelle, NY who also predeceased her. Surviving are a son, Darryl A. Broadie (Michelle); four grand children, Dannen Broadie, Jerron Broadie, James Hollis and Robert Hollis; three great grandchildren, Eric, Natalia and Isaac Broadie; a special niece, Kathleen Robinson (Garfield); the Leak family and a host of nieces, nephews and others.
