Panel discussion will focus on respite for caregivers and starting adult day care programs

WHITE PLAINS, NY — County Executive Robert P. Astorino today announced a free educational program for caregivers will take place Friday, April 15th at The Westchester County Center, 198 Central Avenue, White Plains, from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The panel discussion will focus on two main topics: “Respite for Caregivers” and “How to Start Your Own Social Adult Day Care Program in Your Community.” 

This is a perfect opportunity for caregivers to get valuable advice on how to care for their loved ones, as well as seniors in the wider Westchester County community. Free refreshments/light breakfast will be provided.

Presenters include:

·         Erin Anne Purcell, New York State Office for the Aging

·         David Sweet, Westchester County Department of Social Services
