New Rochelle Resident, Chad Corning, to Compete amongst International Field in 2016 Atlantic Cup: U.S.’ Toughest Ocean Race

NEW ROCHELLE, NY –New Rochelle’s Chad Corning, 44, will be competing in the 2016 Atlantic Cup presented by 11th Hour Racing. The Atlantic Cup is the longest offshore sailing race in the Western Atlantic and is the U.S.’ only short-handed offshore race dedicated to the Class 40. It is also the U.S.’ most environmentally sustainable sailing race. The race starts in Charleston, S.C., on May 28, stops in Brooklyn, N.Y., May 31-June 4, and finishes in Portland, Maine, June 11. Chad is a graduate of Hobart College and this is his third Atlantic Cup.
