NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Yonkers Police Officers will start off the Westchester leg of the torch run on the morning of May 5th at the 3rd Precinct, located at 435 Riverdale Avenue, and carry the torch through the city and into the City of Mount Vernon. The “flame of hope” is then handed off to the next jurisdiction. This is done throughout the county, ending eventually in Peekskill later in the day. In 2015 Nearly 2,000 officers representing more than 200 agencies across the state participated in the torch run.
