NEW ROCHELLE, NY — To coincide with National Bike Month, The City of New Rochelle will celebrate Bike to Work Day on May 20th on the corner of North Ave and Station Plaza from 7:00am -9:00am. Cyclists can stop on their way to work to pick up a goody bag donated by local businesses. The event was created in partnership with Montefiore New Rochelle, Metro Pool (511NYRideShare), Westchester County Department of Transportation and New Rochelle Bike Share. New Rochelle Bike to Work Day promotes healthy, sustainable forms of transportation and emphasizes the need to share the road for pedestrian and cyclist safety.
Montefiore New Rochelle, the City of New Rochelle and 511NYRideshare will showcase the many benefits of bicycling at a pop-up expo and Danny’s Cycles will have bikes in display.
The City will be joined by P3GM and E3 Think to announce details of New Rochelle Bike Share, the first shared bicycle initiative in Westchester County, which will begin this fall.
