NEW YORK, NY — The Business Council of Westchester has announced a new and exciting series that focuses on one of the fastest growing sectors of the regional economy. Called TAMI Talks, the series will explore the latest trends in Technology, Advertising, Media and Information, also known as TAMI.

The new series, which the BCW is presenting in partnership with Manhattanville College, premieres on June 20 at Manhattanville with an interview with Don Callahan, Head of Global Operations and Technology at Citigroup. Callahan is the Executive Chair of the Chief Information Officer Council, which sets global standards for all technology throughout Citi, and leads the Digital Governance Office, which drives digital transformation across Citi’s businesses. He is also responsible for developing and implementing Citi’s global information security strategy.

“From Fortune 500 companies to start-up companies in digital marketing, TAMI is a driving force in our regional economy. We are very excited to be partnering with Manhattanville College to present this important and timely new series,” said BCW President and CEO Marsha Gordon.

Gordon noted a study by New York City Economic Development Corp. which showed the TAMI sector employs more than 330,000 professionals in New York City alone with the numbers continuing to grow. The demand for TAMI jobs is booming with annual salaries averaging more than $125,000.  TAMI is also a significant factor in the commercial office market. “TAMI is also growing in Westchester with young companies such as IAC Applications in Yonkers as well as more established technology giants such as IBM,” she said.

The TAMI Talks program on June 20 will run from 5:30- 7:30 pm at Reid Castle at Manhattanville College. For more information or to register, visit thebcw.org.
