NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The upcoming 4th annual New Rochelle Street Fair, which offers live music, food and art from more than 100 vendors, will introduce a Beer and Wine Garden this year. The new addition, curated by NR Future, will take place on Division Street just south of Main. The downtown street will be sectioned off and transformed into a park-like setting featuring local craft brewers and wineries.

“Based on popular demand by members of NR Future, it is our pleasure to enhance the festivity at the 4th annual downtown Street Fair with a Beer and Wine Garden. We hope to see everyone come out and enjoy the 2016 New Rochelle Street Fair and all that it has to offer,” said Ashley Aldrich, NR Future Community Liaison.

Fairgoers will have the opportunity to try out samples or purchase their favorite beverages. New Rochelle’s own Sorell Wine Bar Bistro and Gnarly Vine will supply a variety of wine along with cheese and fruit platter accompaniments. Yonkers Brewing Co. will provide tasty crafted beers. Additional food pairings will be provided by Texas Roadhouse and AJ’s Burgers. The garden will be open from 11am-5pm, guests must be 21 to enter, there is no cover charge. Limited space is still available for additional purveyors. The deadline to participate in the Beer and Wine Garden is July 18th.

“The 2016 Street Fair Committee is excited to add this special activity feature creating a welcomed event amenity”, said Bill Zimmermann, Parks and Recreation Commissioner.

The 2016 New Rochelle Street Fair will be presented by the City of New Rochelle and The College of New Rochelle in partnership with Parks and Recreation, Chamber of Commerce, BID, Council on the Arts and NR Future on Sunday, September 18 from 11AM to 5PM on Main Street.
