Ursuline School hosted the 2016 Ursuline Educational Network Student Leadership Conference last month, according to a news release.

About 38 girls from 11 Ursuline schools from across the country gathered to become successful leaders during the four-day event, the release said.

The youths also toured New York City, and attended a yoga session.

Vicki Hertlein, the director of Personal Development at Ursuline, and Jeanne DiBenedetto, the dean of Student Affairs at the Academy of Mount St. Ursula, offered sessions detailing the attributes of leaders, the release said.

Tiffani Blake, dean of Students at the College of New Rochelle, urged the girls to search for leadership in Catholic social teaching. The Ursuline School and AMSU alumnae discussed career choices, successes and what it takes to be a passionate leader, according to the release.
