Poughkeepsie, NY – The Iona College women’s cross country team took first overall at the 2016 Marist Invitational. Freshman Helena Keenan made a strong impression in her first cross country performance, finishing first in the 5k.

Freshman Helena Keenan appeared in her first collegiate cross country event, finishing first in the 5,000-meter event in 18:34.9.
Junior Cassandra Gill (18:53.5) and sophomore Orlaith Moynihan (18:54.5) finished in third and fourth respectively.
Sophomore Shannon O’Hehir was the final member of the Maroon and Gold to place in the top-10, finishing in seventh with a time of 19:03.0.
