NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Join us for a skating charity event where we will go for the gold in September (Childhood Cancer Awareness Month). There will be games, raffles, and refreshments!

The event is being organized by two local teens, Ethan Cohen, 13, of New Rochelle and his friend, Josh Lebowitz, 13, of Larchmont. Ethan’s younger brother, Andrew, 9, is a two time cancer survivor. Andrew was diagnosed with Stage 4 Neuroblastoma  in 2010. In 2012 he received a vaccine that the 501c3 organization, Band of Parents, helped fund. (www.bandofparents.org) All proceeds from this Sunday’s fundraiser will be donated directly to Memorial Sloan Kettering to fund pediatric cancer research. Ethan and Andrew’s mom, Jill Ostrager Cohen is the president of Band of Parents. Pediatric cancer research is underfunded and fundraisers help researchers do more to find cures.
