NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Freshman Pedro Bravo ran one of the greatest races in Prep history on Nov. 12 at the 90th Annual Catholic Intersectional Varsity State Championships, setting a new Catholic high school freshman record for the 2.5-mile Van Cortlandt Park course.
Bravo placed 14th with a time of 13:25, the ninth fastest ever run by a Prep athlete. Even more incredibly, he is also ranked No. 6 in the nation among freshmen running any 2.5-mile course.
The amazing time qualified him for the New York State Federation Championship on Nov. 19.
