NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The College of New Rochelle Men’s Swim Team dropped a pair of meets against York College and Queens College. Going into the final 200 yd free relay, CNR trailed York by six points, needing a win to pull out the team victory.  Unfortunately, York edged CNR by 12 seconds to win the meet.

Freshmen Aaron Williams (White Plains, NY) continued his strong season for the Blue Angels picking up the teams lone victory in the 500yd freestyle.

Records falling

Williams picked up a school record in the 50yd freestyle while also swimming his personal best time.  He was joined by junior Marino Castillo (Yonkers, NY), and freshmen Robert Weyhrauch (Bronx, NY) and Oscar Guido (Kendall, FL) to set the record in the 200yd Medley Relay – a race that Guido was able to hold off a late charging York team in the 50 free portion.

Notable Performances

Guido, and a trio of freshmen Daniel De Los Rios (Wellington, FL), Gabriel Lopez (Madrid, Spain), and Giovanni Torruellas (Bronx, NY) swam personal best times in the 50yd Freestyle.
