Submissions sought for Black History Exhibit

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The City School District of New Rochelle and the Westchester and National Alliances of Black Educators will host their annual Black History Spoken Word and Art Exhibit on February 11, 2017.

The event will celebrate the life and contributions of STEM pioneer Benjamin Banneker.

Participants are encouraged to share their visual artwork, poetry, dance, and other performance arts.

Performance proposals must be submitted by January 15, and all visual artwork must be submitted by February 7. Submissions should be sent to Shelli Owens at sowens@nredlearn.org. 

The exhibition will be held in the Auditorium Rotunda at New Rochelle High School.
