“We were on our way back from DC to Boston when my wife (then 9 month pregnant) had to eat something. We stopped in New Rochelle, NY but it was already 10:10PM and everything we could find (beside a supermarket) was closed.
My wife noticed a pizza place which was closed but the owner was still in – Quaker Ridge Pizza.
The guy was amazing; he reopened the place for us and warmed us two huge slices of hand-made pizza. Amazing pizza – not the usual/standard Pizza-Hut or Dominos pizza but an amazing crust with lots of vegetables, cheeses and more as toping. The price is very low too. And all the time, while warming it up, he was chatting with us and congratulating us for the coming baby.
We really enjoyed the pizza and this guy saw it and he loved our response. He came out to our car with a whole 8-slice assorted pizza – almost everything he had in his place and gave it to us for free!!!
I’m always amazed and pleased to see there are still incredible people out there.
I know that the next time we will drive from Boston to NY we will stop there.
If you love pizza this is a must-stop place for you too!!!”
