NEW ROCHELLE, NY (December 22, 2025) — New Rochelle detectives arrested a 28-year-old Brooklyn man on Dec. 22, 2025, in connection with a July home invasion robbery on Kewanee Road that involved armed suspects stealing a Rolex watch and gold necklace.
Shakeem Hinds, 28, of Brooklyn, was taken into custody without incident in front of his residence following a five-month investigation, police said.
The robbery occurred on the evening of July 22, 2025, when the victim returned home and was immediately accosted by multiple suspects who displayed firearms, assaulted the victim and fled with the items.
Hinds faces charges of first-degree robbery, a B felony; first-degree burglary, a B felony; and fourth-degree conspiracy, an E felony, under New York State Penal Law sections 160.15, 140.30 and 105.10.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional charges or arrests are possible, authorities said.
