NEW ROCHELLE, NY — New Rochelle High School students, working with the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA, have organized an anti-Trump protest march from the doors of the high school to Trump Tower in downtown New Rochelle.

The “Students Refuse Fascism 2017” March, part of a “Month of Resistance”, is scheduled for 8 a.m. Friday December 23, 2016.

In a video tweeted on the #NoFascistUSA twitter account, an unidentified New Rochelle High School student

…system you elect.  In the name of humanity I will not accept a fascist America. On Friday I am doing a walkout with my school and I encourage others to do the exact same because I will not accept Donald J. Drumpf as my fucking President so fuck you.

The video is here.

Flyer advertising the protest march were circulated at the high school this week, prompting an automated phone call to parents and guardians from New Rochelle High School Principal Reggie Richardson advising families that school will be open Friday, running on a normal schedule.

“Hello New Rochelle High School families. This is Mr. Richardson, the principal. Friday, December 23 is the last day of school before the scheduled winter break. It will be a full day of school and we will follow our normal schedule. Students are expected to attend all classes.”

The New Rochelle Police Department is aware of the planned illegal march.

The Revolutionary Communist Party, USA or “RevCom” is a political party in the United States, founded in 1975, run by Party Chairman Bob Avakian, a political activist and author.

The Party’s website, revcom.usa, is featured on the flyer. The web site describes the mission of the organization sponsoring the march:

In the Constitution for the New Socialist Republic in North America, the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA has set forth an inspiring vision, and concrete measures, for the building of a new society, a socialist society, aiming for the final goal of a communist world, where human beings everywhere would be free of relations of exploitation and oppression and destructive antagonistic conflicts, and could be fit caretakers of the earth. But to make this a reality, we need revolution. In order for revolution to be real there must be: a revolutionary crisis, and a revolutionary people, numbering in the millions and led by a far-seeing, highly organized and disciplined revolutionary party.
