NEW ROCHELLE, NY — William A., Jr., DDS Bill, 84, was the first son of Dr. William A. and Ida (Gerry) Dwyer of New Rochelle, New York. He is survived by siblings Jane, Gerry, Pat, Maura and Mike. He was a proud alumnus of Iona Prep, The University of Notre Dame and Columbia University. He then served in the U.S. Army. He married Eileen Gallagher Dwyer (deceased) and had seven children – Beth, Bill, Dan, Eileen, Chris, Kate, and Mike. He practiced Dentistry in New Rochelle, New York. In his second life, he served as an EMT for The City of New York and lived in City Island. He found sobriety and a second love in Barbara Chale. He lived in Franklin Square, New York and was welcomed into a family including Stuart, Eileen and Jack. Perhaps his proudest achievement was to be grandfather in blood or spirit to Kelly, LB, Tim, Michael, Meghan, Sean, Shannon, Casey, Brooks, Michaela, DJ, Mackenzie, Justin, Caitlyn, Bobby, Billy, Becca, Steven and great-grandfather to Andrew. Funeral Mass: Monday August 29, 2016 at 10:30 am at St. Catherine of Sienna RC Church, 33 New Hyde Park Road, Franklin Square, New York.
