NEW ROCHELLE, NY — SDK Knickerbocker Vice President Adam Hodge, a 2000 graduate of Iona Preparatory Upper School and former Communications Director for the Democratic National Committee, returned to his alma mater on March 8 to talk about the 2016 Presidential Election and share his experiences in Washington, D.C., with members of the Political Science Club. During an hour-long session, Hodge fielded—and answered candidly—student questions ranging from how and where former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (and current Chappaqua resident) lost the Presidential Election, to the current role of Democrats as the “party of opposition.” Iona Prep’s Political Science Club pressed Hodge on key issues such as the Democratic counter to President Donald Trump’s immigration policy and national security, as well as how the Democrats can take back key seats in the next election, while better engaging with the voter base.
Mr. Hodge currently works with SKDKnickerbocker in Washington D.C, and prior to that was the Communications Director for the Democratic National Committee. He has also served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs at the Treasury Department as well as communications roles with congressional and government leaders.
