PELHAM, NY — Now that your little ones are out of school, get them into the studio at the Pelham Art Center! This June, we are offering two weeks of camp tailored to allow your preschooler (ages 3-5) to explore his or her creativity.
Your child can explore the theme of “Into the Woods” (June 12-16) or “Zoo Adventure” (June 19-23) in both art making and movement activities all week! Each week will feature extraordinary art projects, led by teaching artist Donna Ross, and yoga with instructor Nathalie Voelker who will lead campers in art-inspired yoga movement and games that exercise social, sensory and motor skills while increasing flexibility. Each day, groups of no more than 15 students will make unique and exciting art together and individually. Students work with all types of art media, including clay, paint, mixed media, movement, acting, and storytelling. Snacks are provided. Pre-K Art Camp will run Monday-Friday, 9:00AM-1:00PM for $330/$297 PAC members.
You can register online at www.pelhamartcenter.org under “Workshops& Camps”, or over the phone at 914-738-2525 x. 111.
While your kids are having fun, they are also improving social and motor skills, personal expression, visual communication and application for digital skills. Statistics show that children involved in the arts improve academically! PAC instructors are great teachers, as well as professional artists in their associated mediums – so inspiring children, youth and adults alike comes naturally.
