NEW ROCHELLE, NY —
WHAT: ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc. will host clothing drives at five stores in Westchester County on select dates in July, with all proceeds benefitting local veterans’ organizations. Customers can donate their gently used clothing at drop-off sites set up outside of each store, and ShopRite will donate the clothing to partner organization We Collect Clothes, which pays a fee for donated items. All proceeds that ShopRite raises from the clothing drives will benefit ShopRite’s ninth annual Veterans Fundraising Campaign, which runs through July 15 and supports local veterans’ organizations including Tower of Hope, Hudson Valley Honor Flight and Committee for the Families of War Veterans.

WHY: ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc. is proud to continue its support of United States servicemen and women and their families. As part of this ongoing commitment, ShopRite Supermarkets, Inc. is currently holding its ninth annual Veterans Fundraising Campaign through July 15. Thirty-four ShopRite stores in New York and New Jersey – including its stores in Albany, Colonie, Niskayuna and Slingerlands – have banded together to collect donation at checkout, and raise additional funds by organizing events including 5K runs and walks, food drives, raffles and more. In 2016, ShopRite raised $765,000 to benefit local veterans’ organizations, and has raised more than $2.8 million since the campaign’s 2009 inception.
