Fall for Creative Classes and Workshops!

PELHAM, NY — Fall is for fresh, creative beginnings – and Pelham Art Center can satisfy that artistic itch with an exciting variety of inspirational classes and workshops for all ages and abilities, from Pre-K to Seniors.

Take note, Early Birders! Registration is now open and early birds get $25 off per class through Sept 1st. From beginner to experienced artist, we have an extensive offering of opportunities for imaginative expression. And for time-pressed lovers of art, the Art Center features 1-2 session workshops in a variety of media.

Children’s classes include Adult-and-Me Clay and Mixed Media, Pre-K Clay and Art, Introductory classes in Drawing/Painting, Mixed Media, Knitting, Clay (kiln fired), Still Life Drawing/Painting, Art Masters and Women in Art.

Your child will learn STEAM concepts effortlessly (and while having fun) in our digital classes: Scratch Coding for Girls, Digital Photography, Stop Motion Animation, Intro to 3D Computer Printing and Modeling, Intro to 3D Computer and Modeling and Animation. These classes function as skill builders and career exploration.

High School students may take any adult class. For art students who need to build their portfolios for college or adults who want to explore classic figure drawing, we offer High School Figure Drawing with Portfolio Development and Life Drawing. Both classes feature live models.

Late afternoon and evening Adult classes include Create with Collage, Experimenting with Oil Painting, Beginners Drawing, Encaustic Painting, Ceramics, and Digital Photography. Daytime Adult classes feature Pet Portrait Painting and Drawing, Create with Collage, Ceramics, Knitting, Drawing/Painting. We have two classes for Seniors age 65+ that are free – Improv and Sketch Comedy and Create a Memory Book.

For busy people with an itch to create we offer a delectable choice of 1-2 session workshops: Printmaking, Enamel Jewelry, Fall Flower Painting, and Flower Arranging. How about art-making with your family? Family Holiday Workshops include Pop Up Cards, Gingerbread House Decorating and Make Your Own Ornament. We also have open studio time for painting, drawing and knitting.

The PAC instructors are professional artists in their associated mediums. They are adept at nurturing and educating students of all levels as well as inspiring creativity.
