NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Joseph A. Barone, Sr. a Longtime resident of New Rochelle died on January 6, 2017 at the age of 97.
Joseph was born on February 6, 1919 in the Bronx to the late Vincent and Catherine (Raccuglia) Barone.
Joseph was a Master Sergeant during WWII. He was an accountant who worked as the manager of the Larchmont Shore Club for many years. He was a Lector at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.
He was predeceased by his wife the former Elaine Theologus who died on July 16, 2016
He is survived by his children, Vincent, Teresa, Mary, Joseph, Jr., Jacqueline and Victoria; 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and a brother Salvatore Barone along with many nieces and nephews.
Visiting will be Sunday 4-8pm at Lloyd Maxcy & Sons Beauchamp Chapel, 16 Shea Pl, New Rochelle. A funeral Mass is scheduled for Monday 10 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, in Pelham Manor. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to United Hebrew Geriatric Center, 391 Pelham Road, New Rochelle, NY.
