NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Schools Superintendent Dr. Brian Osborne has announced that Jefferson Elementary School Principal has taken an unexpected leave of absence.
Parents and Staff at the School received the following message from Dr. Osborne:
To the Jefferson School Community,
Ms. Kimmerly Nieves will be on a medical leave from the position of Principal of Jefferson Elementary School. We anticipate the medical leave to extend through the month of November.
Mr. Ken Levy, an experienced retired elementary principal who has successfully served in interim capacities at Ward Elementary, Trinity Elementary, Barnard Elementary and Columbus Elementary schools, will serve as interim principal during this time, starting tomorrow, October 24. Assistant Superintendent Dr. Magda Parvey, Assistant Principal Ms. Bruno and I will work closely with Mr. Levy to ensure that Jefferson Elementary school is fully supported during this time.
Mr. Levy is excited to join the Jefferson school community and will communicate with you this week.
