Craft Marketplace: Exhibition and Sale of the Handmade

Written By: Talk of the Sound News

PELHAM, NY — Pelham Art Center’s annual artisan and craft exhibition is back, with some exciting and fresh changes, including highly affordable and unique gifts, perfect for the holidays. Craft Marketplace: Exhibition and Sale of the Handmade will highlight a dynamic collection of quality, affordable handmade items for sale, from Friday, November 17 through Saturday, December 30, 2017. Many skilled craft disciplines will be represented; ceramics, silver works and other types of unique jewelry; glass, leather, and more. Craft Marketplace will feature over 15 local and national artists who represent a range of traditional and modified artisan techniques, creating one-of-a-kind items. Supporting both the local economy and artists alike, Craft Marketplace is a creative alternative to commercial holiday shopping. A quirky illustration print, a pair of finely crafted metal earrings, or an artist’s 2018 calendar could be a unique and perfect gift. The opening reception will include a free all-ages hands-on craft workshop on wire jewelry. The Pelham Art Center members will receive a 10% discount on all Craft Marketplace gallery sales during a special Members’ Holiday Sale, December 4-9. Craft Marketplace is curated by Anki King, PAC’s Gallery and Public Programs Manager.
