NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The City of New Rochelle will pay $20,000 a month for a prominent Democratic public relations firm to provide “crisis management” services to the New Rochelle Board of Education.
In a further sign that the Mayor, having hand-picked school board members for years, has taken effective control of the school system, Noam Bramson has “hired” Risa Heller, a Democratic political operative with close ties to Anthony Weiner. She has kept a “Hillary” pillow on her office couch.
Some have questioned why the City government is hiring high-priced Democratic consultants to run PR for the School District which has its own higPR firm,
Heller got her start working on Capitol Hill for Rep. Jane Harman and Sen. Chuck Schumer. She worked for New York State Governor David Patterson. She also worked for Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.
In a 2015 interview, Heller offered “Six Tips” for dealing with a crisis.
