NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The New Rochelle Fire Department responded to a report of an explosion of an MRI Machine at the offices of New Rochelle Radiology at 175 Memorial Highway this afternoon.
An alarm sounded and the building was evacuated. Some patients, still in robes, were kept warm in cars outside.
Deputy Chief John Reed said there were indications the fire may have started in a closet near the MRI Machine but was awaiting a full inspection.
There were no injuries.
