NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Thirty-five New Rochelle High School students were inducted into the National Arts Honor Society in the Linda E. Kelly Theatre on Thursday. Twenty-two were being welcomed to the society for the first time. The other 13 were being inducted for their second, third or fourth years.

The theme was “Initium Novum,” or “A new beginning.”

“Because of your work in the Honor Society, our school is a much better place,” Principal Reginald Richardson told them. Their endeavors in the arts and the community , he told them, are “really the highest expression of our humanity.”
