NEW ROCHELLE, NY — April 9-13, 2018 Boys & Girls Club of New Rochelle (BGCNR) is inviting the New Rochelle community to join them for National Boys & Girls Club Week. This special celebration offers the general public the opportunity to experience the life changing programs the Boys & Girls Club offers to children and teens in New Rochelle. As part of the week, 4,300 Boys & Girls Clubs across America and on U.S. military installations worldwide will host weeklong celebrations featuring the many ways that BGCNR is a place to become, helping kids reach their full potential through outcome driven programs that focus on encouraging youth to make healthy choices, build strong character and succeed academically.
“Day in and day out, our Boys & Girls Club staff and mentors deliver quality experiences that make a difference in a youth’s life beyond their time at the Club. Research shows that kids who have an optimal experience at our Clubs are also more likely to have positive self-esteem, volunteer, and be engaged in school,” said Lutonya Russell-Humes, BGCNR Executive Director. “National Boys & Girls Club Week is a special time when we welcome the community to witness the amazing impact Clubs have on the lives of kids and teens.”
