NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The New Rochelle Board of Education is inviting the community to its Back to School Kickoff Town Hall meeting next week.
The meeting is scheduled for 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, September 20, in the Whitney M. Young Jr. Auditorium at New Rochelle High School, 265 Clove Road, New Rochelle.
Board of Education President Jeffrey Hastie will moderate the session, which will be the first in a series of town hall meetings intended to foster greater communications between the School District and the community. “The Board of Education is looking forward to having an open dialogue with the community with this series of Town Hall meetings,” he said. “Together, with the New Rochelle community, we will continue to make our school district a top school district in New York State.”
At the meeting, New Rochelle High School Interim Principal Joseph Starvaggi will provide a short presentation about expectations and changes in procedures for the new school year. A question and answer session for community members to address the Board members will follow.
“If you have any comments or questions for the Board of Education, please bring them to our Back to School Kickoff Town Hall,” Hastie said.
For those that cannot attend, the Town Hall will be streamed on the district website, www.nred.org.
If you can’t make the meeting or want to submit questions or comments in advance, send them to Ken Valenti, public information officer, email@example.com.
