NRHS to Induct Four to Wall of Fame

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Four distinguished alumni will be added to the New Rochelle High School Wall of Fame at a ceremony on December 6. They were elected on the basis of their outstanding professional achievements along with their notable contributions to their respective communities.

The inductees are: Dr. Michael N. Oxman (Class of 1954), a professor of medicine and pathology and pioneer in clinical research on the prevention and treatment of viral diseases; Mrs. Madeline de Vries Hooper (Class of 1963), founder and builder of  DeVries Public Relations, now DeVries Global and one of the largest agencies in the world specializing in marketing and public relations; Dr. Chanel T. Tyler (Class of 1992), an assistant professor in obstetrics and gynecology maternal fetal medicine sub specialist; and Rasaun N. Young (Class of 1993), a New Rochelle firefighter, head coach of New Rochelle High School’s boys varsity basketball team and a youth mentor in the New Rochelle community.
