NEW ROCHELLE, NY — City Manager Chuck Strome today announced the appointment of Mark Zulli as Finance Commissioner. Mr. Zulli has served in the City’s Finance Department as Deputy Commissioner for over 25 years and since October has served as the Interim Finance Commissioner.
“After an extensive search, I am pleased to appoint Mark Zulli as our new Finance Commissioner. His skills and experience are exemplary, as evidenced during our recent budget process. And, his extensive knowledge of the many facets of this important department will insure that operations continue seamlessly,” said Strome.
Mr. Zulli joined the City in 1993 as Deputy Finance Commissioner, overseeing purchasing and risk management and the tax department for the City of New Rochelle. He has a comprehensive knowledge in all areas of municipal finance including fund accounting, municipal bonds and capital projects as well as New York State Laws and the City Code and Charter. Prior to joining the City he directed purchasing for five years at the Westchester County Medical Center. He is a graduate of Mercy College and has an MBA from Iona College
