NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The main New Rochelle Public Library is offering a variety of free programs for children in Pre-K through Grade 5 during the December Vacation Week.

On Wednesday, December 26th, from 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm, the library will be showing the family film Incredibles2. In the movie, after superheroes are banned from society, the Parr family gets an offer they simply cannot refuse. A tycoon wants to bring back superheroes, and Helen, Elastigirl, is enlisted to show how great they can be. Mr. Incredible is left at home to tackle his greatest challenge to date – parenting alone. Will Elastigirl be able to succeed and will Mr. Incredible be able to keep things afloat at home until she gets back? The film is rated PG and will take place in the Ossie Davis Theater.

A Family Craft Workshop will be held on Thursday, December 27, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm.

Children ages 5 and older and their parents and care-givers are invited to participate in a craft free-for-all. The library will provide a host of quality materials and crafting supplies, ideas, guidance, and everything you need to take home terrific projects. Seating in the meeting room of the main library is on a first come-first served, beginning at 12:45 pm.

As a fun-filled finale to 2018, “Magic and Comedy with Jim McClenahan” will take place on Friday, December 28th, from 2:00 pm – 2:45 pm.  One of the New York area’s favorite performers, Jim McClenahan brings joyful giggles from all ages in the audience. His high energy show is filled with unique magical twists, side-splitting gags, and silly antics. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, to the 140-seat capacity of the Ossie Davis Theater.
