NAACP New Rochelle Branch Swears in New President

Mark McLean sworn in as President of NAACP New Rochelle Branch; with Judge Kathy E. Davidson; with Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart-Cousins.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Minister Mark McLean was sworn in as the new President of the NAACP New Rochelle Branch on Sunday January 20th at Bethesda Baptist Church.

McLean is a leading figure in the community. He is a Lieutenant with the New Rochelle Fire Department. He works security part-time for the New Rochelle Board of Education and a fire inspector for Westchester County. He is a Vice President of the Westchester Chapter of the Vulcan Society, past member of the Westchester County Human Rights Commission, past President of The Gathering of Men and previously served as Vice President of the NAACP New Rochelle Branch.

The swearing-in ceremony took place as part of the organization’s Annual Jubilee Celebration where State Senator Andrea Stewart-Cousins was honored as the first African-American Female Senate Majority Leader.
