Mamaroneck School Budget Passed Overwhelmingly

MAMARONECK, NY — The 2019-2020 Proposed Mamaroneck School District budget passed overwhelmingly by the community this evening.  Unofficial budget results show 86% of the voters (1,605) voting YES and 14% (252) voting NO.

“We thank our community members who came out to vote today,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Robert Shaps.  “This budget enables us to continue to improve our teaching and learning across all of our schools and provide a dynamic educational plan to support every child.”

The voters of Mamaroneck and Larchmont elected Christian Zambrano and Rina Beder to the Board of Education, effective July 1, 2019. Christian will be serving his first term on the Board, and Rina will serve as trustee for a second term.
