NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Over 100 members of the school union representing teachers and service-related professionals gathered on the steps of New Rochelle City Hall, a few feet from the Central School District Office to support union calls for recently arrived Schools Superintendent Dr. Laura Feijóo to resign.

Addressing the crowd, including a phalanx of media outlets, FUSE President Martin Daly warned that unless Feijóo addressed their concerns that she was usurping hard-won contractual due process rights, she could expect more, and larger, demonstrations.

At issue was public statements issued by Feijóo on Wednesday concerning investigations into two teachers Eric Luczkowski and Lou DiRienzo which have been widely publicized and covered extensively in the media.

FUSE Vice President William Coleman said NYSUT at the state level was preparing to join forces with the local chapter.
