New Rochelle Police Response to Altercation Leads to Drug Bust

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — New Rochelle Police Officers seized approximately 5 pounds of marijuana after responding to a report of an altercation.

Police responded to the area of 26 Lafayette Avenue on a report of an altercation shortly after midnight on October 11. There was a report of menacing with a weapon.

Upon arrival, officers encountered 2 individuals in a BMW sedan in the parking lot of 26 Lafayette Avenue. During the investigation, approximately 5 pounds of marijuana was located inside the vehicle. Police also seized a .357 starter pistol.

Marcos Reyna aged 26 of Norwalk, Connecticut was arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 5th degree and Criminal Possession of Marijuana 2nd degree. There were no charges related to the pistol.
